The SKF 6007-2Z/WT is a premium quality, precision-engineered Deep Groove bearing designed to deliver reliable performance and durability in a multitude of applications. Manufactured by SKF, a trusted name in the bearing industry, this model offers a blend of robust construction and superior functionality, making it an ideal choice for demanding industrial and mechanical environments. The bearing’s dimensions are 35x62x14mm.

Key Features

Metal Shield Design (2Z)

Equipped with a metal shield on each side, the SKF 6007-2Z/WT bearing possesses excellent protection against contaminants such as dust and debris, ensuring smooth and efficient operation for the entirety of its service life.

Wide Temperature Range (WT)

The 6007-2Z/WT is designed to perform effectively in a broad temperature range of -40°C to 160°C (-40°F to 320°F), making it perfect for applications requiring high thermal stability. SKF’s 6007-2Z/WT bearing is suitable for multiple applications.

High-Quality Materials

The SKF 6007 2Z WT bearing is a deep groove radial ball bearing constructed from premium-grade steel to enhance durability, corrosion resistance, and load-carrying capacity.

Understanding the SKF 6007-2Z/WT Bearing Code

Bearing codes can often seem complex at first glance, but each part of the code provides valuable information. Below, we break down what each segment of the 6007-2Z/WT code signifies:

6007

This is known as the basic designation and gives foundational information about the bearing type and size. Here, the 60 designates this as a deep groove ball bearing in ISO dimensional series 0 - the series simply denotes the outer diameter and width independent from the inside diameter. The last two digits, 07, indicate the inside diameter (or bore size) of the bearing, in this case 35mm.

2Z

The 2Z indicates that the SKF 6007-2Z/WT bearing is equipped with metal shields on both sides. These shields help protect the bearing from contamination while retaining lubricant, making it suitable for moderate-speed applications where a sealed environment isn’t required.

WT

The WT part of the 6007-2Z/WT bearing code specifies that the bearing is lubricated with a special grease designed for operation in a wide temperature range. This ensures reliable performance in both low and high-temperatures, ideal for demanding industrial or outdoor applications.

FAQ

There are a few different ways in which you can identify which bearing you require for your machine,

Almost all bearings that we supply will be stamped with the bearing reference on the side,

image of the bearing reference on the inner race of the bearing image of the bearing reference on the outer race of the bearing image of the bearing reference on the metal shield of the bearing image of the bearing reference on the rubber seal of the bearing
On the Inner Race On the Outer Race On the Metal Shield On the Rubber Seal

These part numbers sometime are not the easiest to read therefore the bearing might require cleaning with an oily rag, or you may need a magnifying glass to see what the part number is.

Once you have found the part number then type that into our search box at the top of the page or use the search box below and you should find the bearing you are looking for.

If you cannot find the part number or the bearing is worn or damaged, you will need to measure the bearing to figure out which part you need. To do this you will need to use a Vernier caliper, and you will need to get three dimensions.

image of the bearing reference on the inner race of the bearing image of the bearing reference on the outer race of the bearing image of the bearing reference on the metal shield of the bearing
Inside Diameter Outside Diameter Width

These three measurements will give you the dimensions that you will need to find the bearing you are searching for. Once you have the dimension sizes, type it into our search box in the following order; Inside Diameter, Outside Diameter, and width and our search engine will feed back the products that fit those dimensions.

We offer full certification with all the products we sell, you can ask for Certificate’s of Conformity or Certificate of Analysis at the time of placing the order and we will issue these with your Order. (this may incur a small cost depending on the manufactures terms and conditions).

All the products we sell are bought either Directly from the manufacturers or through their approved supplier network, so we can guarantee that you only receive 100% genuine products every time you place an order with us.

We supply a wide range of quality lubrication tailored for different industrial needs. SKF specializes in greases and oils for bearings and rotating equipment. Kluber provides high performance lubricants, including food-grade and extreme-condition formulas. Shell offers industrial and automotive lubricants, including hydraulic oils, engine oils and gear oils. Loctite focuses on anti-seize lubricants and threadlockers for maintenance and assembly applications. Molykote offers specialty greases and pastes for high-load and high-temperature scenarios. To choose the right lubricant, consider your equipment type, operating temperature, load, speed, and environmental exposure.

Yes. Kluber, Shell, and Molykote offer NSF H1 food-grade lubricants suitable for use in food manufacturing industry. Also, many of the brands we sell offer biodegradable or low-toxicity options designed for environmentally sensitive applications. Always check product certifications and safety data sheets to ensure compliance with your industry standards.

We stock a full range of bearing maintenance tools including pullers, induction heaters, mounting and dismounting tools, alignment tools, and infrared thermometers. These tools are designed to ensure safe handling and damage-free installation or removal of bearings. Our product pages include detailed specs to help match tools to your specific requirements.

Shaft misalignment is one of the leading causes of premature bearing failure— especially in heavy-duty equipment. Even slight misalignment can reduce bearing life by over 50%, leading to increased wear, vibration, heat generation, leading to unexpected downtime. To prevent this use shaft alignment tools to ensure shafts are correctly aligned during installation or maintenance. Laser alignment systems are especially effective for high-accuracy setups. Investing in proper alignment solutions not only extends bearing life but also improves equipment efficiency and reduces long- term maintenance costs.

This question normally comes down to the environment the bearings are being used it. For example, if the bearing is being used in a moist environment then you’d choose rubber or metal as the metal is more likely to rust.

If the environment is very contaminated, then you might choose a rubber seal to keep the contaminants from damaging the inside of the bearing.

Your decision could also come down to the temperature the bearing needs to work to or the speeds it needs to reach.
