The SKF 6204-2RSLTN9/C3VT162 is a high-performance Deep Groove Radial Ball Bearing designed to provide excellent service life in a wide range of applications. Developed to deliver top-class functionality, this bearing is perfect for those applications which demand high quality and reliability in their equipment. SKF is a globally recognised leader in bearing technology, and their 6204-2RSLTN9/C3VT162 showcases how their bearings provide solutions that raise productivity and performance. The bearing’s dimensions are 20x47x14mm.
Equipped with a low friction rubber seal on both sides, this bearing effectively prevents contamination from dust, dirt, and moisture, without compromising on rotational speed and efficiency caused by friction between the seal and the race, thus ensuring long-lasting performance even in tough environments.
Pre-lubricated with high-performance Kluber Isoflex Topas NB52 grease (VT162), this feature of the SKF 6204-2RSLTN9/C3VT162 bearing is designed to eliminate the need for frequent maintenance and to provide efficient operation.
The TN9 polyamide cage reduces vibration and noise levels, supporting smooth operation at high speeds. Such low noise performance provides a very perfect solution for applications like electric motors, HVAC, and other industrial machinery that requires high-level quiet and efficient performance.
Perfect for industrial machines, power tool units, automotive systems, and all mechanical items that require quick revolving actions.
Each section of the SKF 6204-2RSLTN9/C3VT162 bearing code provides detailed information about the bearing's specifications, features, and intended applications. Here’s a breakdown to help you understand what each component represents
This is known as the basic designation and gives foundational information about the bearing type and size. Here, the 62 designates this as a deep groove ball bearing in ISO dimensional series 2 - the series simply denotes the outer diameter and width independent from the inside diameter. The last two digits, 04, indicate the inside diameter (or bore size) of the bearing, in this case 20mm.
This indicates the 6204-2RSLTN9/C3VT162 bearing is sealed on both sides with low-friction synthetic rubber seals. These seals are designed to provide excellent protection against contamination, such as dust, moisture, and dirt, whilst retaining the lubricant inside to achieve a prolonged service life.
The TN9 section of this deep groove radial ball bearing code stands for the material of the bearing cage, which in this case is a ball centred, glass fibre reinforced PA66 cage. This material is known for its lightweight durability and ability to operate quietly at high speeds.
This describes the internal radial clearance of the bearing. C3 clearance means that the bearing contains more internal clearance than normal to accommodate thermal expansion and rapid rotation. This makes it appropriate for scenarios where there are high-temperature or fast-moving operations.
VT162 means that the 6204-2rsltn9/c3vt162-skf bearing is pre-lubricated with a specialised high-performance Kluber Isoflex Topas NB52 grease. This grease formulation offers further improvement in performance in applications where heat resistance is critical, such as electric motors and industrial machinery.

Below are the description and part numbers to the additional spare parts you can purchase with your product.
There are a few different ways in which you can identify which bearing you require for your machine,
Almost all bearings that we supply will be stamped with the bearing reference on the side,
![]() |
![]() |
![]() |
![]() |
On the Inner Race | On the Outer Race | On the Metal Shield | On the Rubber Seal |
These part numbers sometime are not the easiest to read therefore the bearing might require cleaning with an oily rag, or you may need a magnifying glass to see what the part number is.
Once you have found the part number then type that into our search box at the top of the page or use the search box below and you should find the bearing you are looking for.
If you cannot find the part number or the bearing is worn or damaged, you will need to measure the bearing to figure out which part you need. To do this you will need to use a Vernier caliper, and you will need to get three dimensions.

Inside Diameter | Outside Diameter | Width |
These three measurements will give you the dimensions that you will need to find the bearing you are searching for. Once you have the dimension sizes, type it into our search box in the following order; Inside Diameter, Outside Diameter, and width and our search engine will feed back the products that fit those dimensions.
We offer full certification with all the products we sell, you can ask for Certificate’s of Conformity or Certificate of Analysis at the time of placing the order and we will issue these with your Order. (this may incur a small cost depending on the manufactures terms and conditions).
All the products we sell are bought either Directly from the manufacturers or through their approved supplier network, so we can guarantee that you only receive 100% genuine products every time you place an order with us.

Yes. Kluber, Shell, and Molykote offer NSF H1 food-grade lubricants suitable for use in food manufacturing industry. Also, many of the brands we sell offer biodegradable or low-toxicity options designed for environmentally sensitive applications. Always check product certifications and safety data sheets to ensure compliance with your industry standards.
We stock a full range of bearing maintenance tools including pullers, induction heaters, mounting and dismounting tools, alignment tools, and infrared thermometers. These tools are designed to ensure safe handling and damage-free installation or removal of bearings. Our product pages include detailed specs to help match tools to your specific requirements.
Shaft misalignment is one of the leading causes of premature bearing failure— especially in heavy-duty equipment. Even slight misalignment can reduce bearing life by over 50%, leading to increased wear, vibration, heat generation, leading to unexpected downtime. To prevent this use shaft alignment tools to ensure shafts are correctly aligned during installation or maintenance. Laser alignment systems are especially effective for high-accuracy setups. Investing in proper alignment solutions not only extends bearing life but also improves equipment efficiency and reduces long- term maintenance costs.
This question normally comes down to the environment the bearings are being used it. For example, if the bearing is being used in a moist environment then you’d choose rubber or metal as the metal is more likely to rust.
If the environment is very contaminated, then you might choose a rubber seal to keep the contaminants from damaging the inside of the bearing.
Your decision could also come down to the temperature the bearing needs to work to or the speeds it needs to reach.
